D.C. Gun Ban Goes to Supreme Court

Tomorrow is a very big day for Washington D.C. and the rest of the country. Washington D.C.'s unconstitutional handgun ban is finally going to the Supreme Court, where I pray they will uphold the Constitution and our right to bear and keep arms. The Supreme Court's decision could affect the rest of the country's fire arm laws.

Dick Heller is the agitator bringing on the suit against D.C. . He claims that his personal handgun is necessary to defend himself at home (which we know is true).

What is really interesting in this case is that D.C. claims that the Second Amendment does in apply to them because they are a district. But wait, I thought that they wanted equal representation in congress as a state? I guess that liberals there just can't make up there mind. They really don't care, as long as they get more power.

55 Senators (Democrats and Republicans) and 250 Representatives (Democrats and Republicans) have sent a brief to the court in support of Heller. Only 17 Representatives (all Democrats) have sent a brief in favor of ignoring the Constitution. And of course Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not made their positions known, but I wouldn't expect anything else from them, they're just liberals playing politics and the less we know the better right?

Thank you for reading and God Bless.

That's right my friend.

Are you currently in college? Does it keep you busy. I don't know if I'll find time to update my blog during my senior year or when I'm in college.

Well I'm kept pretty busy. The only reason I have a little time right now is that I'm on spring break from school.

Cities and states should be allowed to make their own laws to protect the people.

Yes, cities and states should make their own laws governing their constituents, but those laws should follow the Constitution. Our Constitution guarantees us the right to keep and bear arms and it is illegal for a lower power to tell Americans that we cannot keep and bear arms.

How long is your spring break? Mine will be 11 days starting this Saturday.

Just one week. I go back to class on Monday. Most universities have one week Spring Breaks.

Hey, fonso, just curious --are you a "team member" over at Mudrake's? He has blocked me and I wondered if he blocked you? I don't think "team member" means a co-writer to his blog in this case. He is such a liar about me --I go over there just to set the record straight and he can't stand anybody doing that for very long. he tried every other method --to intimidate me off without censoring --but in the end, he always resorts to censorship where i'm concerned, the miserable old geezer.

happy vacation to you guys!

Barb...Why would you ever entertain the gross negativity
of a Mud-rake? He's not worth your time or effort. Cheers! reb

I know --I'm not sure why I bother with the miserable old mudrake, either --I guess because he always says such outrageous, ignorant things about Christians --and I don't think he has many posters who know he's wrong about us. He would much rather speak to the choir. he likes opposition if he thinks he can best them in debate --but when he can't, he just snipes with irrelevant insults.

Sorry it took me so long to answer your question Barb, but no, I'm not a member of Mud's blog.

MR would visit my blog --so I'd go to his and find out he was talking about Christians and sometimes me, mischaracterizing both.

I feel competent on certain issues to refute what he says about those issues --and that's why I bother. I call it shedding light in the darkness --for the sake of any who don't know the truth about the Bible, Christianity and Christians. Because such truth is not what MR posts.

I enjoy the fellowship of those with like minds --but I am up to the debate with those who are NOT of like minds. And somebody's gotta do it. So I rarely censor. And i do go to unpleasant places where I am quickly not welcome.

Here is what MR recently posted to Fonso :
"I have considerably more wisdom than you."

To Mudly, I said --(but it won't be posted as he is once again moderating):

Even I have never made such a boast. I was thinking about you this morning, Mudly.

You disapprove of the God of the Old Testament for being unloving to sinners --too harsh --but do you yourself not reserve the right to be harsh and mean to someone when you judge them to be bigots --or even just deluded or ignorant compared to your self-proclaimed wisdom? If you, a self-proclaimed righteous and wise man, have the RIGHT to hate and insult and wish all manner of evil against a person, why should God be any more merciful to people HE views as unrighteous? who mock and scorn His son"

Just food for thought.
